Ovr at The Joey Polanski Show, I writ a post announcin that I woud allow anonymous coments fer a 48-hour period. I wont rpeat my reasns here fer doin att, or why I normaly dont allow such coments. If ya aint awready familyer, you can go ahead & read th post yer own dangd self.

Th post itself was DEFNITELY atypickle. Nfackt, it was ZACKLY th sorta post thats a-spposta be publishd here at th Hole. And dont think fer a moment that I dint give plenny o thougt to publishin it here insteada ovr at th JPS. But I coont publish it here at th Hole, since fokes can awready post anonymous coments here, if they choose; and WordPress awready prvides me wif comenters innrnet IDs, whethr I wannem or notski. So I aint sure howta invite TRUE anonymitty here at th Hole.

Therefore, in spite o Polanski principple, I hadta publish that post ovr at th Show rathr than ovr here at th hole.

I gotta admit: I wunt sure zackly what t expeckt. On th one hand, Im pretty sure fokes got stuff to say that they woont say unless they coud say it “unsignd”; so I was a little suprisd at how many fokes dcided to leave coments undr their reggalr Blogger IDs — yknow … NON-anonymous coments. But on th othr hand, I gots th feelin that alla my assurances that coments left at JPS durin em 48 hours woud be TRULY anonymous mighta left fokes thinkin I was layin some kinda trapski.

There WAS one anonymous coment that calls fer a rsponse, tho. Twas a sugjestion that I publicize my email address.

Long-time readrs o The Joey Polanski Show awready know why it goes against Polanski principple to do that. It has th potential to dstroy th art o th Show. Extra-blogassfearick contackts have a way o becomin known: fokes cant seem to keep from referrin to emails they sent, emails they rceived, etc.; and such refrences awways seem to be to create kinda a air o inequality among fokes wiffin a bloggin cmmunity. There comes to be a sense o in-group and out-group. Its long been my opinion that keepin my email address private helps prmote a uncompromisd equality among all bloggin pals o Polanski.
